Diana (Dee) Cruz

Diana (Dee) Cruz oversees the strategy and operations WellSense Health Plan, which offers Medicare, individual and family ACA plans, and Medicaid plans to more than 700,000 members in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Cruz joined WellSense in January 2021 as the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for improving end-to-end operational processes to drive a better member experience. Since then, Cruz managed the effort that doubled ACO partnerships and Medicaid membership in Massachusetts and implemented new Medicare and ACA products in New Hampshire. Cruz has more than 25 years of experience in health plan leadership. Prior to WellSense, she initiated the Office of Consumer Obsession at Cambia Health Solutions, where she employed human-centered design and lean methods, and sponsored enterprise programs focused on reducing consumer effort and out-of-pocket costs for members. As Vice President of Operations at Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, Dee oversaw improved automation and data science-enabled payment-integrity programs focused on reducing provider and member abrasion. She received her bachelor’s degree in international relations from Stanford University.
