Michelle Stenbeck leads strategic and operational nursing efforts across BMC South’s inpatient setting to help elevate and amplify the voice of nursing and clinical teams. Before joining BMC South, Stenbeck served as the Chief Nursing Officer at Essentia Health. In her role she oversaw multi‑site inpatient and ambulatory operations, advanced evidence‑based practice, and drove significant growth and quality gains. Her leadership contributed to CMS 5‑Star performance, achieving Vizient 25th percentile staffing outcomes, major service‑line expansion, and technology‑enabled care innovations. Prior to her role at Essentia Health, she held progressive senior leadership roles at Allina Health. Stenbeck received her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Management and Leadership from Regis University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of St. Benedict.
