About
Anjali Basil, MD is a physician with experience in internal medicine and gastroenterology. She completed a GI Fellowship at UMass Memorial Medical Center, where she also served as GI Chief Fellow from 2015 to 2016. Prior to this, she worked as a GI Hospitalist at UMass Memorial Medical Center from 2010 to 2013.
Dr. Basil has held academic and leadership roles, including Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School from 2010 to 2013. She also served as Associate Chief of Hospital Medicine and Physician Supervisor for Advanced Practitioners at Fallon Clinic, Saint Vincent Hospital.
Dr. Basil earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Indira Gandhi Medical College in Shimla, India. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island and a preliminary surgery residency at North Shore–Long Island Jewish Health System.
