Dr. Frank Scangarello is an Attending Rheumatologist in the Department of Medicine at Boston Medical Center and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School School of Medicine. He completed his MD/PhD degree at the Tufts University School of Medicine, residency training in Internal Medicine at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, and then fellowship training in rheumatology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He serves as a course author for the American College of Rheumatolgy’s Advanced Rheumatology Course on infection related arthropathies and has published in the field of inflammatory myopathy. His current clinical interests involve inflammatory arthropathy, inflammatory myopathy, inflammatory vasculopathy, and autoinflammatory disease.
