Jeffrey J. Siracuse, MD, MBA, FACS, is System Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery for the Boston Medical Center Health System (BMC Health System). A board-certified vascular surgeon, he practices at both Boston Medical Center (BMC), where he serves as Associate Chair for Quality and Patient Safety in the Department of Surgery, and at Boston Medical Center – South (BMC South) in Brockton, Massachusetts. He is also Professor of Surgery and of Radiology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Siracuse holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He completed his general surgery residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He subsequently completed a research fellowship in vascular medicine at Harvard Medical School, also in Boston, and a clinical fellowship in vascular surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. Additionally, Dr. Siracuse holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.

Dr. Siracuse is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Quality improvement at the institutional, regional, and national level has been a focus for him, and he serves as a Surgeon Champion for the American College of Surgeons’ National Surgical Quality Improvement Program. He also oversees quality initiatives as Medical Director of the Vascular Study Group of New England, which focuses on improving quality and safety in caring for patients with vascular disease.

Dr. Siracuse is the author of more than 300 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous book chapters. His research and clinical interests include minimally invasive and open treatment of aortic aneurysms, critical limb ischemia, cerebrovascular disease, dialysis access, thoracic outlet syndrome, vascular trauma, reoperative vascular surgery, and venous disease.
