Dr. Jorge Fleisher serves as Chief of Infectious Diseases at Boston Medical Center Brighton, overseeing Infection Control and Antibiotic Stewardship programs. He contributes to system-wide antibiotic stewardship initiatives and conducts research focused on antibiotic management, infection control protocols, and antimicrobial treatments.
While maintaining an active infectious disease practice, Dr. Fleisher is particular interested in the area of sexually transmitted infections, HIV, and Hepatitis C. He completed his medical education in Mexico City before pursuing specialized infectious disease training at Montefiore Medical Center and Boston Medical Center’s main campus.
With over 20 years of experience and numerous published works, Dr. Fleisher divides his time between clinical practice and educating medical residents at Boston Medical Center Brighton.
