About
Ekaterina “Kathy” Petersen, NP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in primary care. She provides compassionate, evidence-based care for patients and families across the lifespan, with a focus on building long-term, trusting relationships. Her approach emphasizes collaboration, education, and personalized preventive care to help patients achieve and maintain their best health.
Before joining Boston Medical Center, Kathy worked in emergency and pediatric care at Winchester Hospital, Spaulding Hospital, and Cambridge Health Alliance, and served as a clinical instructor at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Fluent in Russian, she is committed to improving access and comfort for patients from diverse backgrounds and providing care that reflects the whole person—social, emotional, and physical.
Kathy earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Columbia University and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner training at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
