About
Dr. Kevin Maymi-Quintana is a specialist in internal medicine and currently serves as the Executive Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Fellow at Boston Medical Center. He is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. His academic interests include quality improvement, patient safety, and cardiovascular outcomes research. Through his fellowship, he leads initiatives to improve healthcare quality and care delivery, with a particular focus on cardiovascular medicine, including implementation of the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® programs. His research focuses on the role of lipoprotein(a) in cardiovascular disease and outcomes. He also investigates the electrophysiologic effects of metabolic therapies, particularly glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs), on atrial fibrillation and other cardiac arrhythmias.
