Mark F. Conrad, MD, MMSc, is a board-certified vascular surgeon and Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Boston Medical Center – Brighton. He also practices at Boston Medical Center – South in Brockton, Massachusetts; in Methuen, Massachusetts, at the BMC Health System Multispecialty Clinic; and at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston. Dr. Conrad is also a Professor of Surgery and the Chair of the Department of Surgery at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Conrad earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He then completed his residency training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, studying General Surgery, and stayed on as a research fellow studying trauma and critical care and vascular surgery. Dr. Conrad then trained as a clinical and research fellow in vascular and endovascular surgery at MGH, and shortly afterwards earned his Master of Medical Science degree in Clinical Science from Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Dr. Conrad has spent the majority of his career in the greater Boston area. In addition to MGH, he has worked at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and Southern New Hampshire Medical Center/Foundation Medical Partners in Nashua.

In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Conrad also has a strong interest in medical education and academics. He served as Program Director of the vascular and endovascular surgery residency and fellowship programs at MGH and taught for over a decade at Harvard Medical School in Boston.
