Mark F. Conrad, MD, MMSc, is a board-certified vascular surgeon and Chief of Surgery at Boston Medical Center – Brighton (BMC Brighton). He also practices in Methuen, Massachusetts, at the BMC Health Multispecialty Clinic. Dr. Conrad is a Professor of Surgery at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.
Dr. Conrad received his medical degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor. He then completed general surgery residency training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, followed by a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). He also holds a master of medical science degree in clinical science (MMSc) from Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Conrad has spent the majority of his career in the greater Boston area. After 15 years in practice at MGH, he joined St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (now BMC Brighton) in 2021 as Chief of Vascular Surgery and was later promoted to Chief of Surgery.
In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Conrad also has a strong interest in medical education and academics. He served as Program Director of the vascular and endovascular surgery residency and fellowship programs at MGH and taught for over a decade at Harvard Medical School.
