Matthew T. LeMaitre, MD, is a robot-assisted, minimally invasive, and weight loss surgeon at Boston Medical Center – Brighton.
Dr. LeMaitre received his medical degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed general surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester and a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery (MIS) and bariatric surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey.
Dr. LeMaitre has been in practice for more than 14 years and has established multiple American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Weight Loss Surgery Centers of Excellence. In addition to his work at BMC Brighton, he serves as the Director of Weight Loss Surgery at another site. His expertise includes robotic and laparoscopic general surgery, foregut surgery, and hernia surgery as well as bariatric surgery, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and, in particular, revisional bariatric surgery.
