Nicholas J. Musisca, MD, MA, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician at Boston Medical Center (BMC), where he serves as Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program, and at BMC Brighton and BMC South in Brockton, Massachusetts. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Musisca received his medical degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and completed his emergency medicine residency training in St. Louis, Missouri, through the Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital/St. Louis Children’s Hospital Consortium. Prior to joining BMC, he was an attending physician and Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Miriam and Rhode Island Hospitals in Providence and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He then moved to Wellstar/Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, where he served as director of the emergency medicine residency program for two years.

In the area of medical education, Dr. Musisca’s interests include simulation-based education and cadaver-based procedure labs, producing procedural videos, and managing structured oral board preparation. While at Brown, he served as the lead instructor for airway management and developed a multihospital in-situ mass casualty simulation.
