Peter Augustinos, MD, FACS, is a board-certified vascular surgeon at Boston Medical Center – South (BMC South) in Brockton, Massachusetts.
Dr. Augustinos holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Hofstra University and earned his medical degree as well as a master’s degree in molecular biology from SUNY Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. He completed his surgery residency training at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (now BMC Brighton) in Brighton, Massachusetts, and subsequently completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Dr. Augustinos has extensive experience in all aspects of open vascular and endovascular surgical procedures, such as carotid endarterectomy (CEA) and lower and extremity bypasses, as well as minimally invasive office-based procedures to treat aortic aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease affecting the lower extremities, venous disease, and issues with complex, non-healing wounds. He initiated the endovascular surgical program at Good Samaritan Hospital (now BMC South) and performed the first endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR) and carotid artery stent (CAS) in the Brockton metropolitan area.
