Dr. Stern is currently the Medical Director of Psychiatric Services at BMC Brighton. Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, BU School of Medicine, Clinical Assistant Professor, Tufts School of Medicine. He was formerly the Chief of Psychiatric Services at Somerville Mental Health Clinic, Executive Director of the Eliot Community Mental Health Center, Director and Chair of Psychiatric Services at Emerson Hospital. He had an active Private Practice in Psychiatry.
He is a dedicated Community Psychiatrist with academic interest focusing on the care of those with serious mental illness. As Faculty for the Residency Training Program, the training of Residents, Medical Students, PA and NP students in a Team oriented environment is a priority. Other areas of interest include Trauma and Trauma Informed Care, dual diagnosis, and the impact of the “social surround.”
He is also a Community Board Member at BPSI.
