Sonali Desai, MD, is responsible for the strategic delivery of high-quality, safe, and equitable patient care at all BMC Health System hospitals. Before being appointed to this role, Dr. Desai served as the vice president for quality and the associate chief medical officer at Brigham & Women’s hospital and currently serves as a deputy editor at the International Journal for Quality in Healthcare. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Brown University and her Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Desai has been recognized as a patient safety expert to know by Becker’s Healthcare and as a top doctor by Boston Magazine since 2020.
