Joseph P. Carrozza, MD is a highly experienced interventional cardiologist who focuses on the treatment of complex coronary and structural heart disease using advanced, minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Carrozza specializes in interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, and general cardiology, with particular expertise in transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and the management of advanced cardiovascular conditions.
Dr. Carrozza currently serves as Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at Boston Medical Center – Brighton and brings decades of clinical, academic, and leadership experience to the role. He has held numerous senior leadership positions across major academic and health system settings, including Chief of Interventional Cardiology, Director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories, and Director of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement programs. A nationally recognized investigator and educator, Dr. Carrozza has served as principal or co-principal investigator on major multicenter clinical trials and registries, authored extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and contributed to foundational cardiology references. He is the recipient of the 2024 Ambulatory Teaching Faculty Award and remains deeply committed to advancing cardiovascular care, research, and physician training.
