Mahmood M. Rana, MD, DipABLM, is a board-certified family medicine physician specializing in adult primary care at BMC Health Primary Care in Norwood, Massachusetts.

Dr. Rana received his medical degree (MBBS, equivalent to an MD) from the Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed an internship year focused on internal medicine at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, Massachusetts, before pursuing residency training in neurology at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington followed by additional residency training in family medicine through the Texas A&M Vashisht College of Medicine in the Brazos Valley area of Texas.

Dr. Rana’s interests include prevention and management of chronic conditions. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (DipABLM) and has done clinical research on the neuropsychological manifestations of lupus.
