Tariq M. Bhat, MD, FACC, FSCAI, RPVI, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist at Boston Medical Center – Brighton (BMC Brighton), where he directs the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Medicine, Structural Heart Disease Program, and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program. He also practices at Boston Medical Center – South (BMC South) in Brockton, Massachusetts. Dr. Bhat earned his medical degree from Government Medical College Srinagar (GMC Srinagar) in Srinagar, India, and completed his internal medicine residency training at Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH) in Staten Island, New York, through Hofstra North Shore–LIJ School of Medicine (now the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell), serving as Chief Resident in his final year. He stayed at SIUH to complete a fellowship in cardiovascular disease. He subsequently moved to Boston and completed fellowships in structural heart disease, vascular and endovascular medicine, and interventional cardiology through Tufts University School of Medicine at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (now BMC Brighton).
Dr. Bhat specializes in minimally invasive, catheter-based interventional procedures to treat conditions including structural heart disease, coronary artery disease, and peripheral artery and venous diseases. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI).
