Erin L. Maxfield, DO, is a family medicine physician, board-certified in both family and addiction medicine, who specializes in primary care. She is passionate about breaking down complex health topics in an easy to understand way, with the goal of making sure everyone feels comfortable talking about their own health and treatment plan.

When Sister Barbara McHugh went in for her routine primary care appointment in 2008, she had no idea it would mark the start of a long journey with cancer that continues today. Her religious congregation, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston, is “right down the street” from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at BMC Brighton, and Sister Barbara appreciates being able to receive all her cancer care close to home.

Ekaterina “Kathy” Petersen, MSN, NP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in primary care. As a family nurse practitioner, she values fully understanding both her patients and their family as a unit with a focus on building long-term, trusting relationships.

Dr. Erica Mintzer is a family medicine physician. She treats everyone from infants to the elderly, including prenatal care, and takes pride in caring for the entire family unit. She is a fluent Spanish speaker and has a passion for working with and caring for immigrant populations.
