Feel ready and empowered going into your birthing time! Our birth class is taught by a Lamaze-certified nurse and covers healthy pregnancy; how to recognize labor; medical procedures like inductions, epidurals, C-sections, and VBACs; and so much more. The instructor also commits an entire class to unmedicated comfort techniques such as positioning, counter pressure, massage, and essential oils. We also go over what to expect postpartum and how to heal. We are inclusive of all family structures and welcome any birthing people and their partner(s) of choice to join in the fun!

Choose from either a six-week program which includes an infant care and infant feeding class one night a week from 6:30 to 9p p.m., or you can attend a one-day express birth class on a Saturday that meets from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday classes are held every other month. We know that support and advice about lactation can be very important for anyone who chooses to breastfeed, whether exclusively or with formula. If you need extra support, we can provide an outpatient referral to a local lactation agency.

Our Level II Special Care Nursery provides specialized and intensive care for premature or ill newborns. It is an eight-bed unit that provides care from skilled and professional neonatal nurses and highly trained physicians from Boston Medical Center.
