- An American Heart Association–accredited Mission: Lifeline® Heart Attack Receiving Center
Community-Centered and Dedicated to Equity
BMC South is dedicated to improving the overall health and wellbeing of our community members here in Brockton and along the Route 24 corridor.
We provide culturally and linguistically appropriate support, focusing on care that addresses the root causes of chronic diseases directly impacting our communities, including heart disease, obesity, diabetes, cancer, and substance use disorder.
Our care team is deeply involved in community outreach, participating in city and neighborhood events to hear from residents and providing education on prevention, self-care, and condition management.
We also work closely with the Health Equity Accelerator, a BMC Health System initiative whose goal is to transform healthcare to eliminate gaps in life expectancy and quality of life among different races and ethnicities.
Together, we are advancing our mission of health justice in crucial clinical areas and thinking beyond the hospital setting to fuel economic mobility in disinvested communities.
Expanding Access to Acute Care
BMC South provides patient-centered care directly in the community when it is needed most urgently. In a medical situation where every second counts, our Emergency Department delivers expert emergency care 24 hours a day at the only designated Level III Trauma Center in the region.
For neighbors in Brockton, as well as down Route 24 in Avon, Bridgewater, Easton, Randolph, Sharon, Stoughton, Taunton, and beyond, our team delivers acute medical care when you need it most.
